Tangy Cheese Stars with Basil & Red Cabbage Microgreens

A quick and delicious savoury snack perfect for any buffet or apéro evening.


  • 2 ½ cups grated mix of cheddar & emmental cheese

  • ½ cup soft butter

  • 8 tablespoons milk / single cream

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 ½ cups grated parmesan cheese

  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil microgreens leaves

How to make

Pre heat oven to 180°

Add the three cheeses, butter, milk/single cream, and salt into a mixing bowl. Mix on a low speed until nicely blended.

Gradually add the flour and the microgreen basil leaves and finish by combining with hands till the mixture is dough like in texture.

Roll out with rolling pin and cut into star shapes. This quantity will make approx 36 large star treats.

Place on a baking tray with greaseproof paper, and coat lightly with milk. Bake in the oven at 180° for 11 minutes or until a lightly golden brown.

Voila!! Serve with green tomato chutney dip and garnish with red cabbage microgreens.
